"Train up a child..." - Proverbs 22:6
Following consultations with parents through the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) they elected, and the school, a decision was made three years ago to change the syllabus from the Cambridge-based SIGCSE to the South African IEB Matric Syllabus. The change-over was formalized and the first students to write the finals were in 2012. The school systematically followed through on all the requirements and the first crop of students performed well to continue our good name. This syllabus was preferred by parents due to the wider tertiary education opportunities its successful candidates are afforded. This move meant getting only the best educators to take on the role of training the learners to achieve high academically following in the footsteps of the former high school students who some are pursuing their tertiary education in reputable universities in South Africa like University of Cape Town, University of Pretoria, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Wits University and some have gone as far as England at the University of Westminster (London). Studying a wide variety of courses like Pathology, Biochemistry, Medicine, Environmental studies, Economics, Accounting and many others.
The subjects offered to learners in high school include: Advanced Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics Literacy, Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical science, Geography, History, English Home Language, French, Siswati, Economic and Management Sciences, Life Orientation, Business studies, Engineering Graphics and design, Computer Applications Technology
